History of Feldbinder
Feldbinder's corporate history began in 1975 when Otto Feldbinder and Jan-Dirk Beckmann gathered their philosophies and forces. Individual experience gained through the sale and operation of silo vehicles allowed them to accumulate their experience and knowledge. The original idea was to provide vessels for rigid vehicles.
The original manufacturing plant, consisting of 3 employees, was based in Drage, Lower Saxony near Hamburg. Five years later, after moving to Hamburg-Hamm, the company burst out of all seams. At the time, FFB was producing, 120 units per year. In 1980, the successful couple acquired a 4-hectare plot of land in Winsen (Luhe), which has been expanded to more than twice its original size and continues to host the headquarters of the Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerke GmbH.
Winsen Luhe
The company's parent factory, where the management team is also located, is located in Winsen (Luhe), near Hamburg. A facility covering an area of 90000 m² of industrial land, including a 27000 m² crane access hall, houses operations related to the processing of aluminium for special silo trucks of any volume. In addition to the vehicle production process, this facility houses all key functions related to sales and administration, as well as the central department for global sales of spare parts.
Wittenberg
Covering an area of 110000 m², this plant is the manufacturing site that houses the production of special tank trucks for road transport, which can serve any purpose in the chemical, food and mineral oil industries. The Lutherstadt plant also houses the production of silo railcars, tank railcars, gas railcars and containers made of aluminum, stainless steel and titanium.
